SERDANG. 13 Mac - The community of the Centre for Foundation Studies in Science, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organised the ASPutra Bubur Lambuk Programme 2026 as one of the activities held in conjunction with the month of Ramadan. The programme was made possible through the sincere contributions of ASPutra staff who collectively supported its organisation.

Preparations for the programme began a day earlier, on 12 March 2026, involving purchasing the necessary ingredients and preparing the cooking equipment. The preparation of the bubur lambuk began on the morning of 13 March 2026, with volunteer staff available at the time, reflecting the strong spirit of cooperation and teamwork among the ASPutra community.

The Director of the Centre officiated the programme for Foundation Studies in Science, Associate Professor Dr Marina Mohd Top @ Tah, who symbolically launched the programme by presenting bubur lambuk to the Programme Coordinator, Dr Emma Ziezie Mohd Tarmizi, after the completion of the cooking process.

With the contributions received, the organisers not only prepared homemade bubur lambuk but also used the remaining funds to order additional dishes, namely ayam percik and tepung pelita, for the staff's iftar meal.

The food distribution to ASPutra staff began at around 3.00 pm and continued until approximately 5.30 pm, involving the preparation of food for more than 80 ASPutra staff members. In addition, portions of bubur lambuk were shared with several external parties as a gesture of blessing during Ramadan.

This programme was organised to strengthen the bonds of friendship among ASPutra staff through a communal activity during Ramadan. It also aimed to foster a sense of togetherness and cooperation among staff while promoting the spirit of sharing within the university community. Indirectly, the programme helped to further strengthen camaraderie and a family-like atmosphere among staff while creating a more meaningful Ramadan environment.
