SINTOK, 11 April 2026 – The Centre for Foundation Studies in Science of Universiti Putra Malaysia (ASPutra) participated in the Karnival Jom Masuk Universiti 2026 (Northern Zone) held at Dewan Mu’adzam Shah, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) as an exhibitor for two days from 11 to 12 April 2026.

The carnival brought together various higher education institutions and related agencies to provide exposure to students and parents on opportunities for further studies. Throughout the programme, the ASPutra and UPM booth received encouraging responses from visitors seeking information on the academic programmes offered.

ASPutra was represented by Encik Tuan Muhammad Syafiq Tuan Hassan, Encik Mohd Fadzil Suhaimi, Puan Hasniah Hamid and Cik Aina Suhaiza Mohamad Nazir. The participation also involved collaboration with the UPM Admissions Division and Academic Management Division, led by Encik Mohamad Fiddezuan Ahmad Murad, Head of Academic Promotion Section, in delivering the latest information to the public.

The opening ceremony was officiated by the Director-General of Higher Education, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Professor Dr. Azlinda binti Azman, representing the Minister of Higher Education. Also present were the Vice-Chancellor of UUM and members of the university’s management.

The carnival involved the participation of 20 public higher education institutions (IPTA), 27 private higher education institutions (IPTS) and 10 other agencies and institutions, making it a comprehensive platform for disseminating higher education information to the public.

ASPutra hopes that its participation in this carnival will further expand outreach to prospective students and increase interest in pursuing studies at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
