SERDANG – A program on STEM activities was held in commemoration of the visit from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Klang to Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science, University Putra Malaysia (UPM) on the April 25^th, 2019. This program was underpinned by the theme “Scientific Skills, the Drivers of Technology” around which the activities were planned. The academic activities in this program was arranged to develop students’ knowledge and interest on the importance of Science and Mathematics.

Throughout the program, students have learned about the application of mathematical knowledge, types of soil and fertilizer used in agriculture, human physiology, method used for blood typing and they also conducted Chemistry and Physics experiments. Other than that, students were also exposed to learning system practised in the Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science, UPM.

It is hoped that the program could produce individuals with passion towards basic Science knowledge, so as to enhance scientific knowledge and how Science and Mathematics are utilized in every aspect of life. Basic scientific skills are crucial in promoting promising technology that gives positive impacts in daily life.
