PutraHotSpot

Putra HotSpot WiFi service is developed by Infocomm Development Centre (iDEC) and offers free service for all UPM users. PutraHotSpot is a wireless Internet service provided for all UPM staffs, students and guests. This service supports various devices such as computer, notebooks, PDAs and smartphones that use Wi-Fi connectivity that is compatible with 802.11b/g.

The PutraHotSpot service allows an access to UPM online application system such as the Student Information System (SMP), web email and other applications. This service covers various locations such as dining hall, reading room, kiosk, and students gathering area.

Students who subscribed to PutraHotSpot service are allocated bandwidth quota per month. Hence, students are advised to utilise the quota wisely. Students will not be able to surf the Internet once the quota has reached the limit.
