The center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science was established in June 2005 by offering Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science Program. This Program is equivalent to matriculation and other science foundation studies in Malaysia. The duration of this program was for one and half year (3 semester) at the beginning of its establishment and the former students are eligible to further their studies in agri-bio based program at UPM.

However, in 2011 the duration for this program has been approved for one year (3 semesters) and all former students are eligible to further their studies in all programs offered by UPM including Medical Doctors.

The management of the Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science has always given priority to the survival and marketability of former students of foundation studies for Agricultural Science.

Starting from 2017, the duration of studies for foundation Studies for Agricultural Science Program has been approved for one year with a total of two semesters.

Steping out of the Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science marks the completion of your pre-university study for a year.The opportunity to pursue undergraduates's studies at UPM is very wide.

Regardless undergraduates or postgraduate (Master or PhD) studies, alumni of ASPer are always committed and concerned with the programs and activities conducted by Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science.

The friendship and family spirit that is built in a year during their studies at the Center of Foundation studies for Agricultural Science is simply precious. This is what strengthens the bond and network of cooperation between the Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science and the Alumni.

Since 2005 to 2017, the number of alumni of the Foundation Studies for Agricultural Sciene has reached 4894 people.

All Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science UPM students will enjoy the same college life as others student in campus such as undegraduate and postgraduate.

All ASPer students are also subject to university law and regulations under Universities Colleges Act 1971. All registred students of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science must cmply with all rules issued by UPM from time to time.

Students are also free to used all facilities provided by the university such as the library, Student Health Center, Recriation Space and Wi-Fi Facilities.

However ASPer students are not directly involved with any university credited co-curricular activities. They are given the flexibility to carry out various activities under the Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science Student Associate which is elected annually.

Through this association, students will have the opportunity to manage various activities such as academid, community and entrepreneurship.

 

Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science has various categories of well trained staff including lectures, administrators, executive officers, and other supporting staff.

Various activities and tasks can be executed by the PASP staff group at universities and national levels. They are always dedicated and cooperate in performing any tasks from time to time to implement the concept of "With Knowledge We Serve".

Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science is offering a fundamental science programme known as Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science and is a programme equivalent to those fundamental sciense programmes offered by other IPTA public universities.

The name Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science is after the name Universiti Pertanian Malaysia which is a history memory of Universiti Putra Malaysia. Although the name has recieved numerous criticism, it remains superior and very unique to us as well as the students of Foundation UPM.

The programme of Foundation Studies UPM (ASPer) is open to all SPM science stream leavers and they must fulfil the stated entry requirements. The students can apply online through UPU starting january every year.

All ASPer students need to follow the programme for one year (2 semesters) at the UPM main campus in Serdang successfully before continuing their study to the degree level. With excellent achievement, the students are entitled to choose all the programmes offered by UPM.

However, for the several programmes like medical doctor, veterinary doctor, design and architecture and some other programmes, CGPA is not the only requirement. The students need to get through the interview process before qualifying for the pursuing programme.

We at the Center of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science UPM are always trying to give the best to our students so that they are not only excellent academically but become the valuable human beings towards our religion, race and nation.

Jumaat : MB7050 - Kuliah terlibat (17-20) 29 Mac 2019

Waktu edaran sijil MUET tersebut adalah : 

10pagi hingga 12tgh dan 3 hingga 5 petang

Jumaat : 3-5 ptg

Makluman kepada semua pelajar mohon selesaikan pengisian Borang Permohonan ke Degree secara online yang bermula pada 1 Mac 2019 lalu dengan kadar segera.

Borang tersebut perlu dicetak dan dikepilkan bersama dengan dokumen berkaitan;

i. Salinan Keputusan Semester Pertama Asasi.

ii. Salinan Keputusan MUET

iii. Salinan K/P ibu dan bapa

iv. Slip pembayaran wang proses.

Semua dokumen salinan mestilah disahkan terlebih dahulu.

Semua dokumen permohonan lengkap perlu dihantar ke pada Pn. Hasniah Hamid di Pejabat Pentadbiran Asasi mulai;  22 hingga 30 April 2019, waktu pengumpulan mulai jam 2.00 hingga 5.00petang setiap hari Isnin hingga Khamis.
