The Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science (ASPer) held a workshop to discuss its strategic plan on March 10 and 11, 2022 at the Bangi Resort Hotel, and it was officiated by the Director of ASPer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marina Mohd. Top @ Mohd. Tah. This workshop was attended by 22 ASPer staff, consisting of management staff, academic officers, management officers, professionals (non-academic), and executive officers.

Group 3 discussed the strategic direction of human resources and facilities in ASPer

The main objective of this workshop was to plan the direction and strategic plan for the next 3 years (2022 to 2025) in accordance with the UPM Strategic Plan 2021–2025 and the UPM Vice Chancellor's Narrative. It also gave participants the opportunity to be involved from the very early stages of ASPer's strategic planning and direction, particularly through collaboratively sharing ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. In addition, it could increase self-motivation and foster positive interaction among ASPer staff to form a teamwork spirit. As a result, ASPer services will be more competitive, effective, and efficient in achieving UPM's desired vision, mission, and goals.

In order to make the workshop atmosphere livelier, ice-breaking activities was organised. Ice breaking on the theme of internal communication has kept everyone more relaxed and at ease. The workshop was also made more interesting with a game that tested the participants' attention spans.

It is hoped that the workshop can provide an added value to the staff in accomplishing the tasks assigned to them by the Centre and the University as a whole more effectively and brilliantly.
