Agricultural Science Foundation Programme is a pre-graduate program which is very unique because it is the only Agricultural Science Foundation Program in Malaysia. Through this program, students will be exposed to basic knowledge of science and agriculture in preparation for the students involved before continuing their studies to degree level in agriculture, agro-bio and science. Graduates of Agricultural Science Foundation Program is also GUARANTEED to continue their studies to degree level at University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) Serdang.
Agricultural Science Foundation Programme is implemented in THREE (3) semesters, compared to only TWO (2) semesters of matriculation year. In addition, the system of teaching and learning approaches to teaching and learning systems for degree and diploma students in UPM. Agricultural Science Foundation Programme students will also be exposed to the university environment as well as the learning atmosphere to familiarize them with the system in the uiversity when they proceed to the degree level later.
Eligible students from B40 and M40 chategory, who enter the program is fully funded by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. Among the forms of financing are as follows:

In general, the students of the Agricultural Science Foundation Programme will study at UPM, Serdang Campus. The Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricutural Science is located in Block D, Former Engineering Building, UPM Serdang, adjacent to the Institute of Advanced Technology and Faculty of Biotechnology and Bio-Molecular Science.
For accommodation, the students of the Agricultural Science Foundation Programme will stay at the Thirteenth College (K13) located near the University Health Centre.
For teaching and learning activities, the Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science has 3 classrooms that can accommodate 50 people each, nine laboratories for Biology practical, Chemistry and Physics (3 laboratories for each subject), a reading room, a computer room with a capacity for 20 persons, a tutorial room, as well as a prayer room for all members of the centre.
For the practical in agriculture subjects, the students are taught hands-on training on the university farms, in collaboration with the University Agriculture Park (TPU), and by way of field visits to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME�s) food industry and agro-entrepreneurs.
Yes. Upon completing their studies at ASPutra, students may apply for any of the 80 bachelor's degree programs offered across fourteen (14) faculties at the UPM Serdang Campus and two (2) faculties at the UPM Bintulu Campus. However, certain programs—such as Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, and Design and Architecture—require an excellent CGPA and an interview.
Applicants must possess the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification from the current year, with at least five (5) credits—including Bahasa Melayu—and a pass in History in the SPM examination. (General university requirement)

No. All UPM students are subject to the Student Dress Code, which stipulates that attire must be modest, neat, and in accordance with university norms.
