Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail (KTDI), Universiti Putra Malaysia has organised KTDI Principal’s Cup Debate Competition 2022 from 8 to 11 March. It was held for 4 days via online platform, Zoom.  

A total of 10 teams participated in this competition and ASPer has sent one team, ASPer 17, to join the match. ASPer 17 was represented by Hasnul Harris Amir Bin Hasnul Emry (Kuliah 10), Mohamad Haikal Bin Arsahak (Kuliah 17), Muhammad Hakimie Bin Abdul Rhaman (Kuliah 10) and Nur Aina Afifah Binti Baseri (Kuliah 12). Their involvement in this competition was part of the preparation strategy before joining 2022 Public University Inter Foundation Debate Competition which will be hosted by Centre for Foundation Studies in Science, University of Malaya (PASUM) from 18 to 21 March.

ASPer 17 managed to advance to semi-final after defeating three teams of debaters from KC A, Kolej Tiga Belas and Srikandi KTDI. Unfortunately, they lost by a margin of 2.4 and bagged third place in this debate competition. ASPer 17 received RM 250 cash prizes, a plaque, certificate of achievement, and hamper.

Even though they did not win the competition, it is hoped that all ASPer 17’s debaters will be able to give the best performance in the upcoming 2022 Public University Inter Foundation Debate Competition. Our special congratulations to students from ASPer 17 team and may they continue to shine brightly in the next match.

1st Runner-up: Srikandi KTDI Team

2nd Runner-up: ASPer 17 Team
